Taipei Solitaire is a cross between the game of Taipei (or Shanghai) and solitaire. However, cards are used rather that the traditional tiles.
The object of the game is to remove all of the cards from the layout by matching pairs of cards that are 'free'. A card is free if either its left or right side is not adjacent to another card. Cards are matched by number. For example, the two of spades can be matched with any other two. If all of the cards are removed from the layout, the game is won.
Taipei Solitaire comes with 10 different layouts of varying difficulty to challenge you. There are also a few options which you can select to change the nature of the game.
Requirements:
Selecting a Layout
Tap on the File Menu. Here you will see 10 different layouts such as Wall, Rook, Tunnel or Steps. Tap on the layout that you would like to play.
Playing the Game
Tap on two cards that are free and that match in number to remove them from the layout. If the layout is cleared, you have won the game.

Options/Match Color
Selecting this option forces to you not only match by number but by color as well, thus increasing the difficulty of the games. For example, the two of diamonds must be matched with the two of hearts.
